Once the expensive interest of the wealthy, orchids today are within reach of all. Thailand is home of orchids growing, mainly specializes in warm growing orchids such as Cattleyas, Vandas, Ascocends, Oncidiums, Phalaenopsis, Dendrobium, etc., and active in breedings.
Orchids belong to the most diverse family of plants known to man. There are over 880 genera, 28,000 species and well over 300,000 registered cultivars currently documented.


There have been recorded about 796 genera with 17,500 species native from Thailand.
