alismatifolia "Standard Pink" is the special clone
of this species. It is also called "Tulip Ginger" or
"Summer Tulip" or "Chiangmai Pink" or "Siam pink" etc.
This extra large pink flower variety is grown more than
others in Thailand for bulbs (rhizomes) export mainly
to Holland, Japan, USA., etc. "Standard Pink" is the
lotus-like structure of pink flowers, with the sturdy
stem, and lanceolate leaves, it is also used as a cut
flower (it lasts more than 3 weeks), and as indoor plants.
At present, we also have "darker color" clone of "Standard
Pink" (by mutation) with the same form and structure.
